We paid the bit extra to get a room with a view over the river and would highly recommend you do this. The view changed constantly and was superb. The room was warm but not too hot. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. You can choose if and when you want your room cleaned and we found the cleaners to be very helpful and would slot you in for a time convenient to you. The shower gave instant hot water from either an overhead giant head or an alternative lower flexible head. Soap and shampoo were in fixed dispensers on the walls. The room was equipped with cups and a kettle with a Twinings tea selection (you could take tea from the downstairs breakfast bar to to personalize your room selection). There was a small fridge in the room so you could keep fresh milk for your hot drinks. Breakfast was literally the best buffet I have ever experienced with all the usual hot and cold foods and some more Norwegian style foods. The hotel is centrally situated and all our booked excursions left from either outside the hotel or within a two minute walk. Our weather was terrible (rain every day) so we were so glad we had our cosy room with the huge window so we could enjoy watching the fishing boats and cruise ships while the rain lashed down. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again. We had room 454.

Extremely good location, fabulous and modern furnishing, clean and neat bathroom, and great breakfast in a fancy-looking restaurant! We were extremely pleased with how the hotel turned out, definitely better than what was seen. We got this perfect room with a big window overlooking the port so it was a spectacular view as well. We heard the bed was too soft and asked for a hard one and they gave us a board 😂 however when we tried, the board in fact felt too hard and we slept just fine without the board! Oh, and we got to see the aurora too! The hotel is near a vast ground and we were so happy we got to see aurora so vibrant in the clear sky just beside our hotel.

The hotel is located in the very center of Tromso. It is easy to get to - buses from the airport stop in front of the hotel and the taxi ride is very quick - about 10 minutes. The room is clean, warm - there is a kettle, coffee and tea. There is also a fridge and a safe. There is also an ironing board and an iron in the room. The employees were very nice and polite, the cleaning service took great care of cleanliness and replacing towels. The breakfast buffet is very varied, everyone will find something for themselves. The view from the window of the bridge and marina - amazing... A very good base for trips - a meeting place before going on a tour.

Location of hotel was great - right in the centre with a nice view of the harbour/Cathedral. Rooms were a reasonable size and we had a sea view. Everything was clean and tidy and you could request a cleaner for your room the day before if needed. Breakfast buffet was great - barista bar and an egg station. We also tried out the hotel restaurant, ROAST which we all really enjoyed. AirPort Express Shuttle stop is right outside the hotel.

Bathroom was updated and hotel was quiet, except for the occasional group returning from late aurora hunting, but not a big deal. If you rent a car, the hotel has no parking and that is advertised. Consider to pay around 35euros per night, or 70 for full day in the nearby parking, or use the underground in the tunnels.
